She will talk about her last book on Alberto Fernández and the framework of his arrival at the Casa Rosada. How his arrival was conceived and what is hidden behind it all. 

Dr Lopez Gottig will talk about Gorbachov and his legacy in the Soviet Union and of how he implemented the reforms that ended communism in the region. 

Like any abstract and polysemic concept, the idea of freedom has changed over time, mutating its emphasis and priorities. Therefore, the aim is to explore the historical evolution of the concept of Freedom, from Antiquity to our days. This history is marked both by the evolution of political institutions as by the evolution of subjectivities.

In a letter of 1836 to Eugène Stöffels, Alexis de Tocqueville defined himself as a “liberal of a new kind". The purpose of this meeting will be to investigate the possible meanings of his formula and, particularly, the Tocquevillian reception of three traditions of thought: democratic, republican and liberal.
